The SSA has a good press release about the trends of 2007 (along with a somewhat interesting headline choice).
For the complete lists, head to the SSA's search page. In the "Popular Names by Birth Year" box, type in 2007, then select how many names you'd like to see (we picked 1,000, but we're pretty hardcore) and hit "Go."
Since the rankings count different spellings of the same name separately, the data can be a little misleading. Check out Nancy's Baby Names for the top ten names, regardless of different spellings.
The biggest trend of 2007? According to the Baby Name Wizard and the SSA, it's the -ayden (or Jadon, or Hayden, or Caden, or Braiden, or...) inundation. We'll agree on that one.
Also at the Baby Name Wizard: a list of the year's fasted rising names. Yeah, so we're a slightly celeb-obsessed society. That's cool.
