Can diet determine gender?

Heard the one about breakfast cereal making baby boys? Well, kind of. A recent study found that woman who ate more calories around the time of conception and got a wider variety of foods and nutrients were more likely to have boys. And yes, oddly enough, breakfast cereal had a particularly strong correlation with male babies. Check out The New York Times' Well blog for a more info on the study.
