Tool: Input/Output Tracker

Posted Tuesday, May 15, 2007 8:37 AM

We know -- as a new mommy, it’s near impossible to keep track of… well… just about anything. Make one thing a little easier with this input/output chart -- print it out, post it on the fridge, and make a quick note whenever you feed or change a diaper. Done! Click image to download the pdf. re: Tool: Input/Output Tracker

There should be a breastfeeding version. Like, a place to include whether you fed left side or right, and for how long instead of oz.

Great idea.

Thanks for the input...we're looking into it!

re: Tool: Input/Output Tracker

Ditto on the breastfeeding suggestion - for now I will just use the notes section, but very helpful - thanks!

re: Tool: Input/Output Tracker

Hi all - Just wanted to let you know that I have found Mother's Minder Bracelets to be indispensable ever since I had my baby.  You can use them to track feedings, which breast you left off on or need to start on, and all sorts of other things.  But I use mine to track when my baby last ate.  It's amazing.  Go to http://www.wristbands4awareness.com/mom_products to buy.  I purchased one of the rubber ones for when I'm just around the house or getting my hands dirty, and I bought one of the fancy ones too for when I actually go out or get dressed up.  Hope you like them & find them as helpful as I have.  I'll never have a baby without buying at least two!

re: Tool: Input/Output Tracker

The breastfeeding version is definitely helpful- my hospital provided one.  It lists the day, time you start, left or right (amount of time spent on each), and wet or dirty diaper.  Plus at the top of each section it also lists how much time you should be spending feeding as well as how many wet and and how many dirty diapers you should expect, for the age of the baby.

re: Tool: Input/Output Tracker

I found that a simple hair elastic around my wrist works to help me keep track of which side I nursed on last.

re: Tool: Input/Output Tracker

A diaper pin works well too for remember which side you last fed from.

re: Tool: Input/Output Tracker

I used a bobby pin or small barette in my hair and just switched it from side to side. I found things on my wrists got in the way.

re: Tool: Input/Output Tracker

It would be great to have a solid food / poop tracker. My son has started solids and I have been tracking what he eats to help keep him from getting constipated. Seems to be a problem for the little guy.

re: Tool: Input/Output Tracker

I love this.  With the new baby it is so hard to keep track of appointments, engagements, and errands of mine and hers.  I was so organized before the baby and have been looking high and low for a way to keep me on track.  This might do the trick.  Thanks!

re: Tool: Input/Output Tracker

I BF but am going back to work and my husband will be watching baby 3 days a week.  I think this is great for him to keep track of her feedings and diapers.  Thanks.

re: Tool: Input/Output Tracker

I found an awesome timer for how long "it's been" since feeding, diapering, sleeping, etc.  It will tell you how long "it's been" for up to 4 different tasks.  It's easy to thrown in the diaper bag to take or leave with a babysitter.  You can find it here:
