Considering staying at home was not a option for the budget or my somewhat sane mind frame.

So, I decided to ease into working. I worked part-time the first 2 weeks. That helped me soooo much. (my advise to everyone heading back to work) Then it was the 8-4:30 hours for me. I picked up my normal day to day at work with no problem. There is this one problem though when I am not busy I am wondering how Livi is doing, is she having fun? is she crying? Then, I started to feel like I am missing so much of her life. Thank goodness my mother watches her and my work is so close. I visit during lunch a couple days a week. Everything was as normal as possibly for our crazy lives. BOOOOMMM I thought it would be a great idea to start a new adventure called Princess House about 3 weeks ago. My roommate and I were a vendor at a local bridal show. It got our name out there. Great. I am just now getting busy scheduling all the parties on the weekends. Then my work says that overtime is needed for atleast the next 2 months. How am I going to find the time? Considering I dont get home until 5:30 now, then it is dinner time, bathtime, tv time to relax and then bedtime. Well I decided I can only do Princess House on the weekends (select weekends to be more exact) and work as little overtime as possible.

So far Alivia is doing great with the craziness. Amazingly enough she doesnt really feel effected by it.

It is so awesome to walk in the kitchen of my parents house and see her smile as soon as she sees me.

So, this is how I received the title Working Mom.

Life as a new mom - Interesting

Well, When I first found out I was pregnant I was terrified. My husband was so excited he could not stop giggling. So, then as my pregnancy time went on I grew into the thought of being a MOM. I thought that it shouldnt be that hard by myself. (husband travels). Well my husband and I went to the doctor the day before my due date (12/11). The doctor said well tomorrow we are going to induce you. My husband and I were in to bed that night trying to get some sleep. We wanted to be as rested as possible. That didnt happen to say the least. Well the next day at 1:30pm we were introduced to our DAUGHTER. OMG I was offically a mother. I was responsible for this life we created. Little did I know how the next 6 months were going to go. We are constantly on the go. Wake up, get dressed, grab her, head up to my moms, drop Livi off, go to work, go back to moms to pick her up, then home. 5 days a week. Thank somebody for the weekends.

OK, so I wanted to write about interesting things I have learned as a mom. 1st. Diapers dont hold it all. 2nd Diapers are expensive. 3rd. There is never enough space in the house for everything of hers. (no matter if you own the white house). 4th. There are never nights out on the town. Everything is scheduled. If she is in a bad mood kiss that fresh air goodbye. 5th. Go off brand for as much as possible. I bought the expensive diapers at the beginning. Never again. Off brand does the same things. I just found the off brand that works best for me. Wal-mart. 6th and last for now, dont buy the expensive clothing. Pointless. Either she never wore it or it got ruined within minutes. (go back to the 1st thing learned) Haha -

more to come as I am always learning something.

She is long and skinny. The doctor is impressed with her ability to hold her head up great and roll to both sides. Now is starting to get up on her knees. I am not ready for her to crawl yet. I thought sitting up came before that but she has no intention of sitting up. She is still pulling up with my fingers. Her tempering is not getting any better but what can you expect with a red head as a mother. Shane is doing great with her and believe or not she does recognize him even though he is not home very often.

3 months update

Yeah - Livi is 3 months old. She is talking more everyday and she is actually rolling over on regular basis now. I have started her scrapbook. Lots still to do there. She is starting to teeth. Poor baby. Tylenol is our friend right now. We were eating at the dinner table yesterday and Alivia was wondering why she wasnt eating. She kept staring at everyone and their food. How cute!

Update on teething... She has a tooth about ready to break the skin. Yeah! We are going on our 2nd plane trip in 2 weeks. I cant wait. Daddy here we come. We took our first stroller ride yesterday. She was so relaxed. It was great. The weather has been so nice. I cant wait to take her to the pool this summer. She loves bathtime so I am sure she will love the pool. She has started to sing in church now. She is growing up so fast. Before you know it she will be in school.

2 months and growing

So, Alivia is now 2 months old. Wow! She is now 24 inches. We go to the doctor next week for her shots. I am so scaried for her. Personally I am terrified of shots but I guess no one really likes them. I

have been back to work for 3 weeks now. The first 2 were part time. Thank God. It made leaving Livi easier. But, to be honest starting back to work was great. I like my job and co-workers. It was nice to be missed. Things have certainly changed at work. It has been great learning new methods.

As for bathtime. This has changed like all things. She loves splish-splash time. (Livi stays in a couple extra mintues to make waves) as for getting dress not so much. She loves the swing and her bouncer this month. Lets see what next month has in store for us.

I really want to have dd dedicated at my church. My dh is not really religious so I am afraid he is not taking it seriously. Basically we have to dedicate her life to God and raise her in a christian home. Well if my dh would stop dropping the F** Bomb every other work as well as GD it wouldnt be so bad. I guess we will find out.

Update from the doctor's office. Alivia is 24 inches long and weighs 12.4 lbs.

Already 1 month..

Here it is 1/21/2008 and I cant believe it. I go back to work on Monday. Alivia has grown so much. We measured her the other night. She is 23 inches. She is starting to talk the "baby talk" and smile more often. Alivia can also stay awake for 10 minutes without fussing to go back to sleep now.

I go back to work in 1 week. I really dont think I am ready but I will have to take the plunge sooner or later. I am afraid that I will miss everything. I dont get off until 5. So, we will probably get home from my parents around 6 or maybe even 6:30. If it is bath night that means all I get to do is hear her cry. ( She hates the bath). That is so sad. Shane ( My Husband) does not simpathize with me. I can understand. He is gone about 27 days out of the month. He misses her more than I will ever know. But. we are both lucky parents to have a great daughter.

22 weeks and growing

Today is the last day of week 22 so the doctor says. I went to the doctor last week and found out we are having a girl. That is fantastic news. At that point I had only gained 7 lbs total since I found out I was pregnant. This week is I feel like I have gained 7lbs more.... I feel awful.. Is this normal?

8/23/2007 - Yesterday was crazy with the cramps all day. So, I layed down and rested. Finally by 8pm the cramps left. I think Alivia was on my bladder. Yikes.. Today was a tad bit different. I apparently have raging hormones. The poor hotels I talk to everyday always get the brunt of my anger. I actually drew a crowd at work.. that was kinda embarrasing. After work, DH and I went to Babies R US. My new favorite store. I got her border and finished the plans for the room. Yeah!!! Hopefully we can start on the room on Saturday.
