Week 14: Lemon

Posted Monday, July 09, 2007 4:21 PM

Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.

I have felt fluttering too.  Nothing definite though.  You can't feel it on the outside.  I like lemon tea!

re: Week 14: Lemon

I love my lil lemon but cannot wait until I am big enough to be able to fit into maternity clothes, nothing fits, too big or too tight!

I have gas and you probably do too. I doubt its a flutter...sorry to say

re: Week 14: Lemon

no fluttering for me. however, I'm diggin' the fruit index. Last week a peach. This week a lemon. Next week a naval orange.

My doctor said that feeling the 'flutter' could happen anywhere between 13-20 weeks...

Well i guess I have to change the name from Kidney bean to Lemon......so this fluttering....how else would you describe it? I want to know if I am really feeling it or not.....

re: Week 14: Lemon

I feel the fluttering but my husband keeps telling me is gas.  :)  Funny, Like I wouldn't know the difference.

re: Week 14: Lemon

Just give in and buy the maternity clothes!  Since it's a transitional time you can get great sales on leftover summer stuff and start getting fall stuff too!  I highly recommend A Pea in the Pod!  14 weeks for me too and so far I haven't felt anything - but my poor doctor has to be patient to get an u/s of my acrobat - it's been thrashing all four limbs around for a few weeks now!

re: Week 14: Lemon

how come in week 13 the baby was jus a peach and now it's a lemon. Isn't a peach larger than a lemon. Is the baby getting smaller? LOL (jus for jokes)

re: Week 14: Lemon

My DH keeps telling me its gas too like i wouldn't know the difference.  It took  me by surprise like someone was tapping the inside of my belly going "Hey mom"' "hey mom"!  I think DH is just upset he can't feel it himself yet.

re: Week 14: Lemon

All of a sudden the past couple of days my belly ballooned!!!  Anyone else notice the sudden baby bump?

Posted by jess&jake    Monday, September 08, 2008 7:39 PM

re: Week 14: Lemon

Yes, I've definitely gotten a very sudden baby bump.  It just like happened over night.  I can't even zip my pre-preggers pants anymore.  I definitely need to get some more maternity clothes.

I am feeling fluttering all the time. I think this baby is going to be really active! I went to the doctor's today and it was moving all over the place while he was getting the heart beat! I love lemons!

re: Week 14: Lemon

That's so strange that my baby is sucking it's thumb in my tummy?!

Posted by LB_RACHEL    Friday, October 10, 2008 5:38 PM

re: Week 14: Lemon

I had another u/s yesterday and the baby WAS sucking his/her thumb!! It was so cute! The doc said "do you see that??" Amazing. I definitely popped a few weeks ago.. but this is my 4th pregnancy (second child). I've been feeling baby flutters for at least a few days now. I think it's because if it's not your first baby you know what to expect as far as that type of feeling.

re: Week 14: Lemon

Is there a "good way" to feel the flutter? My mom said she used to lay on her belly and could feel it then. What should first-time-moms be looking for? I want to feel it!

Posted by spoonere    Wednesday, October 29, 2008 5:35 PM

re: Week 14: Lemon

It's definitely a "flutter" type feeling.. not a cramp or pinch. Almost like muscle spasms feel. In fact, some of the time you might very well be feeling uterus spasms.. so it's hard to tell at first. Last night I had to jump out of bed and run to my son's room because he had a bad dream. When I layed back down I felt it fluttering for a minute. Another time right after I coughed or sneezed.. like I had woke him/her up.  ;)  Most times it's just random.

re: Week 14: Lemon

we're in week 15 but instead of one orange I have 2 lemons! I could make lemonade! mmmm. but i'm not showing nearly as much as i thought.

re: Week 14: Lemon

Lemons! I got to hear my little lemons heartbeat last week. It was amazing. Both me and my husband walked out of there in awe. I think it just became a reality that there really is a little child in there! I think I'm finally over my morning sickness too. I've been feeling great and more like myself again.

re: Week 14: Lemon

I felt flutters once while laying in bed... I haven't felt it since though, so I'm not sure if it was the baby.  I'm still not real big yet, but my pre-preg pants don't like to button anymore.

Posted by marymoonu    Thursday, December 25, 2008 8:30 AM

re: Week 14: Lemon
